NFT ENERGY INTERVIEW
Billelis (United Kingdom)
2023.12.12
1. Tell me about something you liked as a child.
I was obsessed with drawing spiderman and building Lego. Lego ships, Lego space ships, spider man clothes, fancy dress everything.
2. Who is your favorite writer? (Art, books, games, etc.)
Jon Krakauer known for in the the wild, into thin air, under the banner of heaven, where men win glory and more. I just love hearing true stories and the personal connection to his documentary style writing is a truly engaging read.
3. What was your personal motivation to work on art?
That’s hard to define, i simply always felt the need to create. Whether it’s art, photography, cooking, music i have always had a very strong pull to create.
4. What is the important part you would like to talk about through art work?
I use art to challenge my own perceptions of fear and death. A way of beautifying that which terrified me.
Medusa
5. Why did you start NFT ART?
Early in 2020 was my first experiments either nft, and creating entire collections of digital art.
6. What is the most memorable moment while doing NFT ART?
culmination of emotion, expression, personal loss and remembrance.
7. What do you think is the role of an artist today?
It should be about the freedom of expression but I worry it has all turned into a social media content machine fueling
algorithms and platforms growth. Not every artist has to show how they make their art. It’s alright to simply appreciate art for what it is. Nothing against process and bts as i do it myself but social media has put extreme pressure on artists and is changing the notion of creativity to content which i feel is such a bullshit term for what we do…
